2015 - 2016

 

• Dr. Jay Bowen's Phalangeal Fractures article and Dr. Gerard Malanga's Cervical Radiculopathy article featured in Medscape.com.
• Dr. Gerard Malanga recently received a certificate from the publishers of the journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, stating that his article “Outcomes After Ultrasound-Guided Platelet Rich Plasma Injections for Chronic Tendinopathy: A Multicenter, Retrospective Review” was one of the five most highly cited papers in the journal of PM&R during 2014 and 2015.
• Dr. Gerard Malanga was at the Mayo Clinic (first weekend of December 2016)  as a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) to get training on an exciting new device, the SX-One Microknife.  Under ultrasound guidance, the SX-One Microknife will be used for Carpal Tunnel release and requires no incision or the need for Outpatient Therapy!  This will be available to our patient's in the office starting in 2017.
• Dr. Malanga was named 2016 “Top Doctor” in the New York Metro Area; NJ Monthly Best Doctors in New Jersey, Inside Jersey and Best Doctors in America.

• At the American Academy of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Annual Assembly, Dr. Gerard Malanga will be moderating the Pre-Course on Regenerative Medicine as well as be presenting on the Evidence Based Evaluation of Shoulder Examination.  Dr. Bowen will be speaking on the role of Adipose tissue for Orthopedic Conditions, proper harvesting and FDA compliance issues as well as leading a hands-on workshop on how to obtain and process Bone Marrow for Regenerative Cellular (Stem Cell) injections.
• Dr. Gerard Malanga will be recognized in the November Issue of Inside Jersey magazine as a 2016 Top Orthopaedic and Physical Medicine doctor in NJ.
• Dr. Gerard Malanga gave a lecture on September 26, 2016 to the Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas’ Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency program last week centered around his co-authored book, Musculoskeletal Physical Examination: An Evidence-Based Approach.

• On May 5, 2016, Dr. Malanga was an invited speaker and instructor at this year's annual meeting of the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM) held in Dallas, Texas. He lectured on "Knee Ultrasound: Pathology and Clinical Correlation".
